The Cold Hard Truth About Marketing 🄶🄶🄶

(In my opinion – even the big brands around are doing it wrongly)

Of cos they got money to burn but we don’t have…

So please don’t follow blindly.

Many times when come to marketing we always think about ā€œBrandingā€.

But is branding really important?

Actually I don’t think so leh.

Nobody care about who you are.

Actually many of those spouses only know my name the 1st time we shake hands.

They don’t care. But in the end we did a deal.

I seen people spend good money on a nice company Logo, some spend on nice photo, nice layout of the sales page.

Yes – it is important to show all this.

Visually it looks good.

But if people come in and don’t see the benefits you can bring them….

Even if you have the best ā€œaestheticsā€…

People will not stay in it or do anything with it.

They will just leave.

Imagine going into a nicely renovated restaurant but sell cold and disgusting food. 😱😱😱

Will you go again?

I doubt so…

So focus on the benefit you can give to someone.

Next only talk to 1 group of people at a time.

That’s when you can be laser focused on the benefits someone needs to have.

Big brands like to spreads their marketing budget across the island.

But not for us.

Please don’t tell the Jurong residents you are selling nice fish noodles in Pasir Ris. Even u give them voucher they might not go too.

Yes maybe you might get some shares.

But definitely not as effective as spending the money only on Pasir Ris residents.

The big brands have a lot of money to burn but most of us might not have.

So don’t follow blindly.

Focus on something that can benefit your target group and tomorrow they will need u directly and the following u will get the sales done.

Not a brand that people only need you 3 years later. By then you will already be out of the business.

Ps: Just my opinion seeing some ads on the streets and want to share with you here.

Of cos I might be wrong.

Just take it as a reference for yourself if you are planning some marketing now.
